The Center for Infertility and Reproductive Medicine was inspected in
December 2001 by the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons (FLACS) for
state accreditation as an office-based surgery center. FLACS has been
approved by the State of Florida's Board of Medicine to accredit
offices to perform office-based surgery. This accreditation means that
the Center meets or exceeds the State's requirements to conduct
office-based surgery in a safe, quality environment that is beneficial
to both patient and physician.
CIRM Lab Passes CAP Inspection
The laboratory at the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Medicine
underwent biennial inspection by the College of American Pathologists
(CAP) in October 2001. The Center once again met or exceeded CAP's
requirements for laboratory accreditation including embryology,
andrology and endocrine blood testing. We are very proud of our
laboratory staff for maintaining the high standards set forth by CAP.
